ERG2020 MobileApp

The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration has developed a free, mobile web app of its Emergency Response Guidebook 2020 (ERG). The new safety tool provides the nation's emergency responders with fast, easily accessible information to help them manage hazardous material incidents. This software is available from the Apple iTunes store for iPhone, and from the Google Play website for Android.

2020 Emergency Assistance Haz-Mat Incident

A resource guide has been established to assist in the activation of a state response to a hazardous materials release and is based on information gathered from the Nebraska Emergency Management Act, standard operating guidelines (SOG) of the Nebraska Hazardous Incident Team (NHIT) and the letter of agreement with the State Emergency Response Teams (SERT). 2019 Spill Reporting in Nebraska

The following whitesheet serves as a guide and does not cover all spill reporting requirements. Refer to the regulations or the resources and contacts listed on the back of this sheet for additional information. Always remember to call your local responders first.

Nebraska law does not allow for spills in any amount. Any party responsible for a spill is expected to immediately, and completely, remediate the area of any contaminants and process the wastes generated in accordance with all applicable rules and policies. Please contact the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) if there is a spill that cannot be immediately and completely cleaned up. NDEE will assess and advise on potential remedies.
